Reviews

Have rented snowmobiles before, but now am in the market for buying and wanted a reference book to understand what's involved in owning a sled. Folks who are aware of Chilton's reputation in automotive repair will be right at home in this manual. It's technically written and has lots of specifics for maintenance of sleds and all the other necessities of safe riding from proper helmets and apparel to 'must have' kits to bring along in an emergency out on the trail. Even if you have no plans to do your own servicing, after studying this manual you will be able to hold an intelligent conversation with your snowmobile shop mechanic. There's a section on towing a trailer for your sleds that helps in getting to the trails, too.

Since we are interested in a used sled, the book has been very helpful. Using newspaper style paper, there are no glitzy color photos except the covers; the black & white prints are small but sharp and show lots of detail. If you are in the market for a new sled, it might be a bit of a disappointment with a 1999 copyright date, hence the 4-stars. It does need to be updated as there is little mention of 4-stroke engines and the newer features found on the latest snowmobiles. This is a good study reference book.

If you are new to snowmobiling and want to learn how to repair basic systems on your sled this is the book for you. Not advanced, but good quality maintenance and repair examples.

This is a Chilton's general snowmobile guide. I'm not usually impressed with manuals as they are usually vague and dry, but this isn't bad. It's actually alot of fun to leaf through if you're a new snowmobiler, or a veteran of sledding. It was issued in 1999 and has most (if not all) 1999 snowmobiles in it from the "big 4".

The 1st chapter is an intro to setting up shop with tools, hardware and a conversion chart. (Metric to standard,etc.). Chapter 2 is how to chose a snowmachine. 3 has riding gear and 4 is general engine & drivetrain maintenance. Even though the manual is broad in scope, it's good at theory of operation & how things work. Chapter 5 is chassis maintenance, while 6 is riding preparation. 7 is all accessories for a snowmo and 8 is cleaning. Chapter 9 covers troubleshooting for all systems (engine, drive, electrical, etc.) and chapter 10 is storage.

Although this manual/book is not model specific it does make a great supplement for a model specific manual. It's easy to read and the humor in it is the icing on the cake. A great deal on Amazon.com, I might add.

As I was new to the sport I wanted some background. I ordered the book not really knowing what to expect, it turned out to be a great source of information. Keeping it basic and interesting is a very difficult balance, the authors managed really well. Lots of pictures to illustrate a well written text is central to this large paperback. This is not a new book however, it is still relevent in 2003/4; it is well worth the money and I will keep my eyes open for a future rewrite.

My son, age 12, thought it was very cool and realistic. The track worked really well. He played with it in the snow for hours.

My son did this in about 20 minutes. He was 7, new to the system yet two years too young for the suggested age minimum, and yet had no problem adapting to it from the normal brick system he was accustomed to. So it was a great intro to the technics system. I then got him a much harder one - the Ferrari - which was a far greater challenge that eventually frustrated him (which is better than being too easy). He does play with it, but has never disassembled it to make his own creations, which I would have preferred. These technics kits are like models, but you can play with them roughly.

I bought this Lego Snowmobile for my 13-year-old brother and he loves it! He put it together immediately and even allowed my 2-year-old to play with it (which the snowmobile did withstand!). We are huge fans of Lego products!

Excellent lego product! Hard to find but lots of ages will appeal to this. My 16 year old liked it and now nephews ages 6-12 are also asking for it.

Nice to see something different from lego - I am sure lego fans have also got tired of yellow blocks to make diggers/earth moving equipment and the like, or grey stuff to make space stuff... so to find something cool like a snowmobile is great!

The build was fairly challenging - which is nice as it keeps you interested and paying attention to the instruction sheet. Certainly kept the 32 year old recipient (a snowmobile fan!) entertained for an hour.

Very well built. My buddy has a similar system but no where near as rugged.

These are typical Chinese made products, they arrived in typical fashion paint raised and what seems metal pitting under the paint.
As they are not going to be used outside, I won't bother returning them and the problem is finish/cosmetic and does not intefere with the use of the product.
As for function, they do allow for mobility on a SMOOTH surface and two people guiding the sleds as all four wheels are rotational, bigger wheels would allow better mobility.
As for use, you must put one under each ski and under the drive belt, which requires lifting the sled and sliding the dolly under, a heavy sled makes it more difficult putting the rear dolly under the belt, so be careful.
These are useful products and do as they are meant to do within the guidelines above, as for quality they are made in China.

These are perfect and a must for a snowmobile (if you store it in your garage or shed)
Move the sled around easily, without damaging your floor or skis!

I was pleasantly surprised when I recieved this balaclava. Not only was the material used to make this balaclava was thinner than I expected, it does a great job of keeping my head warm.

Probably not an issue considering this is for under the helmet use, but if you're looking for lower neck coverage this won't do it. Plus, because it doesn't go so low it will likely bunch up instead of staying in place. Depends on the length of your neck I suppose. Also, if you've got a fat head, you might want to avoid this one...

This was perfect for 4 bucks with free shipping!! My snowboarding and snowmobile helmets fit their best with a thin style headliner/ full face balaclava. This is a very fair price!!!

I bought one of these with some earrings for my GF for xmas. Since it was a small gift for myself with inexpensive earrings i decided to let her open it and she looked at the earrings for a few moments then put this mask on and ran around the house pretending she was a ninja taking pics of herself on her iphone and posting them on her Facebook. Keep in mind she is 27 years old. So i have to warn you. May create ninjas in your household! :)

This are outstanding! No more mascara running down my cheeks while chopping/slicing onions. Plan to purchase several pairs for gifts.

Some people have remarked that these onion goggles are a cheap rip-off. I recently received a pair of these from my wishlist as a birthday gift. The quality seems very good to me. I think that, perhaps, RSVP must have changed manufacturers for a while during 07 to 08, realized they were crap, and found a better manufacturer. I have not seen glasses from prior to 07 to be able to compare today's goggles with them, but I do know that the product I received is of a good quality.

The glasses are shaped like wrap-around sunglasses, curved to fit the shape of the face. Behind the frame that surrounds the lenses is a light foam material that creates a seal with your face. This foam has a layer of material (a little like a very thin black polyester flannel) that covers the part of the foam that touches your skin. This material makes the foam more comfortable, as well as strengthening the foam's edge--which without the support looks like it could easily tear. There are no ventilation holes cut into the foam.

Just like many wrap-around sunglasses, the fit of these onion-goggles is pretty snug. If you have a large head (like I do), don't expect to be wearing these for a long period of time (like for dry eyes.) While the fit is snug on me, (23" circumference head, size large hat) I find that I can wear them for at least a half an hour without discomfort--plenty of time to chop a lot of onions.

As the foam creates a seal between the nose and eyes, I did not have a problem with fogging. The foam seems porous enough that some circulation of humidity could occur. Interestingly, though, this did not seem to allow the onion fumes in.

The fumes. I could still smell the onions. The fumes still irritated my sinuses. But interestingly, the fumes did not affect my eyes. While I could feel a little burn in my nose, I had none of the tears (and consequently none of the runny nose) of cutting onions.

Fact: As long as they create a seal against your face, they work.

The glasses come in a soft plastic glasses case, which you can keep them in for storage. The case has a magnetic closure, which is nice when your hands are covered with meatloaf and you don't want to grab hard at the plastic to struggle with a snap.

Why did I give them only 4 stars? According to the Vision Council of America, 64% of adult Americans wear glasses. There is absolutely no way to fit a pair of glasses beneath these onion goggles. If you have a pair of contacts you can switch into--great! But good luck taking the contacts out after you've been cutting onions. It's clear that it would be difficult to create a good seal against onion fumes around a pair of glasses, but if ski-goggle manufacturers can do it, couldn't the onion goggle people? They could offer it as a separate product.

My prescription is around -2.0. I had no trouble cutting onions without my glasses on. But if your vision is worse, do a test drive at home, cutting onions without your glasses on, before you buy these.

I have not tested these goggles to see how easy they are to clean. I suspect soap and water and a gentle touch with a towel.

Last note: my cousin, who rides motorcycles, was at my birthday party. She commented that these looked almost exactly like motorcycle glasses. If you have ski goggles, motorcycle goggles, or a gas mask, give them a try. (Don't laugh--my dad was in the military and my mom used to use his old gas mask.)

Slicing and dicing onions bothered me so much that I would avoid recipes requiring them. I saw these goggles recommended in Cooks Illustrated and ordered a pair - I thought the price was worth trying them out. I look a little like a WWII fighter pilot when I put them on but they absolutely work. Now I never hesitate to chop the onions and even volunteer for it when I have cooking partners. The only suggestion I have for improvement is to make them with a little magnification. If you wear glasses it is a little hard to see what you are doing or to glance back at the recipe without removing the glasses.

They operate as expected. Definitely helps with the tears. Actually quite comfortable to wear.

A co-worker brought these back from her trip in the islands, thought it was a joke. When I chop onions, I have to open the doors and walk outside so I can see to finish cooking, they get me so bad - so I tried them. Wow, no tears, they really DO WORK! I keep them handy so even for a small job I put them on. Now I just need them in a reading glass strength.

This was bought as a costume piece. It arrived very quickly, in just a few business days, in adequate packaging. The goggles contain two set of lenses, a clear set and a shaded set, which can be easily removed and replaced.
The only problem is that the bridgepiece (the part that connects the two halves just above the nose) consists of a string of metal beads (sorry, I'm not sure of the correct term) that thread through a hole on each side of the two halves, connecting them, and through the small black tube shown in the picture. This string does NOT hold. The goggles will sit on your face or head just fine, but the slightest stretching (for example, when you're pulling the goggles off or putting them on) will pull the metal beads out of the holes on the sides of the goggles, breaking the connection between the two halves. It requires needlenose pliers to fix and you have to take a lot of care when putting the goggles on and taking them off so as not to tug on the string of metal beads at all, otherwise the goggles will break again.
As a costume piece that will only be worn a few times, it is a mild annoyance. If you were actually planning on using this for welding or any sort of work- or hobby-related activity, I would imagine that this would get old very fast.

This product works fine a little fogging of the lenses occurs in the winter if working outdoors or in a cold shop. ( I saying working since ravers who buy these for there stupid drug parties have no real purpose for them other than the probably are to sensitive to smoke, how ironic) but yes they work accetlyn or propane torches alike.

The goggles are perfect for work (i'm a hobby welder) but also for those who are looking for those goggles for Team Fortress 2 engineer cosplay. Must get! Great price too!

(thought it's a big greenish but some paint can cure that. But it's function as welding goggles...no question about it.

These have a fun steampunk look. Highly recommended as a cheap costume accessory. I replaced the lenses with crazy custom lenses from etsy to take it to the max.

I can't review these goggles for their intended use, but for costume use, they were perfect! Inexpensive, replaceable lenses, and adjustable band, I used them for an Engineer costume from Team Fortress 2.

Great fitting protection while wearing hard hat and has a good quality clear lens.. I recomend them..

The goggle works great as described and as it's intended to be used. The lenses are 100% anti-fog, that is for sure, but ventilation is bad. 2 minutes and my prescription glasses would fog up and I'd have to remove the goggle for 5 seconds to get clear visibility, and this is why I rated it 4. It's NOT comfy as not wearing, that's for sure, but this is what you get for a well-secure goggle (although can be improved). Overall, as an amateur, I'm very glad about this product.

I've received many compliments in my first year chemistry class about these goggles. They look similar to winter sports goggles, and they fit wonderfully, much more comfortably than the cheaper goggles my school sold. Highly recommended, if you're going to be wearing goggles for hours, wear these.

These are without a doubt the best pair of safety glasses I've ever used. They do tend to fog up a little bit, but not nearly as bad as other sealed glasses (AO claims to have some kind of anti-fog coating). They're light, flexible to work with, and above all, keep my eyes safe. I would definitely recommend them.

They kind of tend to fog up. I would suggest dropping the extra dough on a better pair of goggles.

Imperishable comic strip SNUFFY SMITH goes on and on. Originally the 1919 comic strip BARNEY GOOGLE, in 1934 traveling man Google ventured into hillbilly territory with the introduction Snuffy Smith and his wife Loweezy and the strip stayed there, though Google himself went bye in the late 1950's. SNUFFY SMITH (still called BARNEY GOOGLE in many newspapers despite his disappearance for decades) rarely counted as one of the legendary comic strips but it has survived and flourished to a degree acccomplished by only a small handful of other comic strips and has outlasted every other hillbilly humor venture from the strip LIL ABNER to the movies MA & PA KETTLE to television's BEVERLY HILLBILLIES and is still going strong.

SNUFFY however hasn't had as much luck as most successful comic strips in spinning off in to new areas. A couple of "B" movie comedies based on the series were released in the 1940's and in 1963 fifty six-minute cartoons were produced based on the strip. Seldom seen since, eleven of those cartoons are collected for this extremely rare VHS, produced in the last years of the format's flourishing and before DVD. These cartoons are very successful at capturing the look of a comic strip which bright colors and limited backgrounds. Surprisingly, Barney Google (already gone from the strips) is in nearly every cartoon in a pivotal part but most of the cartoons center around Snuffy and Weezy. Apparently the Smith's baby Tater and their nephew Jughaid were not yet in the strip as they are not seen in the cartoons, nor is Loweezy's gossipy pal Elvirney. Although nowhere near as funny as the comic strip when it's at it's best, these cartoons are enjoyable and worth seeking out for fans of the strip and cartoon buffs and are very much of their era with topical references as trips to the moon, beatniks, "inventions of the future", and the like.

This makes them useless. I wrote to the company, told them the problem and asked about a return. They said they wouldn't take back items that were opened. So, because I opened the item and found it useless, they won't take it back. I suppose they happily accept unopened merchandise from people who just return things for no reason? Complete waste of money. I will dispute this on my credit card if Amazon does not make this right.

Great video, classic Warren Miller. Awesome Blue Ray quality and theater sound makes this a must have for skiers and snowboarders. I have seen most of Warren Miller films and this one is very unique with the stories and adventures. Highly recommended.

The joy of all earlier Warren Miller movies was the crusty commentary by Miller. He doesn't do it any more and in its place is a banal, high volume thumping music and stupid commentary. I would advise missing this movie.

As another reviewer says, Warren Miller is no longer involved in Warren Miller movies and it shows. One things you could always count on in Warren Miller films was lots and lots of great skiing action. In this one, most segments feature more talking than actual skiing! It's unfortunate because what skiing they do show looks absolutely jaw dropping in HD.

My husband and I are huge fans of the Warren Miller films. When Johnny Mosley started to narrate in previous films we were like this sucks. He gets better and better every film. Although we do miss Warren so so much. Great film as always. I am from NH and ski at Okemo a lot as my season pass is good there, I really hate how they make it look like the Wobbly Barn (where the band does their gig) is at Okemo, it is really at Killington. The skit with Jason Biggs was drawn out and cheesy. I love the ski joring part, so awesome! Can't wait to see what next years film will be. Enjoy!

It is sad that this title was sold by his kid to a company that doesn't really get it. They probably didn't like the production costs and they certainly don't have the sense of humor. I'm sorry that this is one of the few of this series in Blu-Ray, because it does not live up to expectations. The key year is 2004, before that Warren Miller was the man in charge, now it is "Time, Inc" and you might just as well buy any other skiing movie.

I was disappointed in the film, it lacks the life of the Miller films, that made me go and search the net to see why it has all gone wrong. Save your money and hope they re-issue the old movies.

This video is tremendous. I bought it on iTunes but after watching it I totally had to have it on dvd as well. The soundtrack is stellar & the footage was great. Best thing is that it mostly shows skiing action, whereas the last few years of Warren Miller films follow the same formula every time (here's guys making lines off a peak... next here's snowboarders riding rails in a parking lot at night & slamming their face on concrete). Besides the predictability, Miller films of late go easy on the action & instead just talk you to death.

Warning: this video is ALL skiing & no snowboarding.

Reviews

These are the best selling men's swim goggles but I am not sure if they are the most air-tight. Based on my experience with swim goggles for years, I think an ideal goggle has these qualities, in order of preference: Air-tight seal, after all, the main function of goggles is to protect your eyes from irritants in the pool water; Comfortable to wear, without any irritation and the commonest source of irritation is the nose piece; Clear vision; Look good; Very little drag - now this could be the top priority for a competitive swimmer.

Vanquisher can become an ideal goggle but need a lot of adjustments over multiple sessions. To get leak proof seal with most comfort, you will need to spend some time making the appropriate adjustments.

ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE THE FIRST USE

	1.	Press the googles against your orbits, without the straps, and see if you get a feeling of suction and how the nose piece feels.
	2.	Then put the headstraps on at 45 degrees angle so that they go to crown of your head. Get the feel.
	3. Adjust the headstraps to get the most snug, not the tight, feel. You may need a blunt object like a key to get the headstraps out of the clips.
	4.	Adjust the nose piece to get suction and the comfortable feel. There are four nose pieces that come with these google. The nose pieces come out of the goggles with a twisting movement.

ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE EACH USE

	1.	Put the goggles on before getting into the water to get air-tight seal.
	2.	Press the goggles against the orbits, without the headstraps, to get suction and air-tight seal.
	3.	Then put the headstraps on at 45 degrees to angle so that they are over the crown of your head.
	4.	Then get into the water.
For me it took fine tuning the strap and the nose piece after abot 5 sessions of swimming to get the right snug air-tight fit

TO MAINTAIN OPTICAL CLARITY

	1.	Need to store the goggles in a case, preferably water draining, with nothing rubbing against the goggles to scratch them.
	2.	Periodically, depending upon your use, spray them with anti-fog coating.
	3.	Wash them after each use to prevent chemical damage.
Of course, even with anti-fog spray, sooner or later all goggles lose their optical clarity.

After, you make the right adjustments, these Vanquisher goggles, are pretty close to the ideal goggles. I just found the following two problems.

	1.	The nose piece is hard plastic, and nose pieces come in different sizes, and you cannot carry them all in case you need to make in adjustment while in the pool. I preferred the soft rubber adjustable nose piece in my old Speedo goggles, which had different notches for adjustment. It was soft and comfortable on the nose and you could adjust it while in the pool.
	2.	The case for goggles is big and hard plastic which does not drain water. Soft plastic self draining case would have been nicer.

With these minor caveats, I think these are good pair of goggles although I liked my old Speedo goggles better for the reasons mentioned above, but they are no longer available.

They do what theyre suppose to do and well. Once the tension is adjusted right they're are really comfortable.

Used by my triathelete son. They seal well without having to overtighten. Good field of view. Best goggles he's used.

Used these when I was on the swim team in high school and for the past 2 years doing triathlons. These are the only goggles that never: leak, hurt my eyes, fog up*, fall off while diving. This is my second pair and my first pair lasted me 6 years until I lost them. The straps on my first pair lasted me a good two and a half years before snapping from overuse, so I ended up buying a bungee replacement strap (excellent product by the way) which did the job. These goggles come with their own neat little case that you can put in your backpack and store them in for when you're going to the gym/practice as well as different size nose pieces.

*The fog proof layer on the inside lasted about 15 uses before wearing off. I figured it would be impossible for them to stay fog proof forever anyways so I wasn't disappointed. The real solution isn't buying expensive towelettes to smear on the inside but by just using your own spit! Just spit in on both sides, smear it around a bit, give them a good splash to get out the excess. Once their empty of all water just put them on and you shouldn't have any problems! Ask your local divers about this I'm 100% serious this works!

These are really good googles for swimming and they really are water tight. I use these in our pool and I quickly forget that I have googles on and just enjoy swimming. Over time they will make my eyes a bit sore from the airtight suction that keeps the water out, but that takes a while to occur and meanwhile, they are comfortable and allow me to see underwater and avoid any chlorine sting.

I got the clear model and highly recommend these googles to anyone that is looking for a comfortable pair of swimming googles.

I bought this for my 5 year old son for Christmas and he loves it! I can't wait until summer time so he can use it outside in the dark. The only problem he has is, with his head being so small, the strap keeps falling down regardless of how tight we make it. Besides using this for fun, we realized just how practical it is during a recent evening power outage. He loved that he could still play in the dark and find his way throughout the house. The lights are very bright so make sure you don't look directly at them. Great item for the price!

This kind of ruins the point of night vision if you have to turn on the light. This was returned and I would not recommend this product.
My daughter has had these goggles for nearly a year. She's 4 now and is still using these for her bi-weekly swim classes.

Pro:
- hold up pretty well. Some minor scratch but expected.
- they don't fog up.

Con:
- fitting could be better. The nose bridge is bit wider (my daugther has an average sized face for her age, definitely not narrow). The straps are not the easiest to work with and pull her hair. She now wears them over her swim cap so it isn't an issue any more.

Overall a decent product for its price.

I ordered three sets of these goggles from Amazon a few weeks ago. They are very easy to adjust, and the UV protection is very effective in direct sunlight. My six year old son and seven year old daughter have always complained that their previous goggles were uncomfortable around the nose or that they let water in. So far they have used these new Speedos twice and they seem much happier (no water leaks, and no complaints about discomfort). For my three year old girl these are her first goggles; I put them on her and she proceeded to play although they were not even on. I am very pleased with this purchase and recommend these goggles to parents of young children.

Had previously purchased inexpensive goggles as a party favor. They had adjustable nosepiece. My 4 year old could never seem to gain comfort in them. We startd swimm lessons and teacher recommended goggles. Anything Speedo. Found these and they work great. They are designed for smaller faces. My child loves them. They don't fog and, of course, keep the water out when worn properly. While in the pool, I notice many children with "Adult" goggles. They just don't fit the children's faces. These are the one for your children.

These goggles are great. Both of my kids loved them and they don't leak a bit.

I bought the the pink/clear goggles for my 5 1/2 year old daughter and they are perfect! They fit comfortably, are flexible, don't leak, don't fog and don't catch her long hair. I am going to purchase a few more as extras. I've tried other brands, some cheaper, some more expensive, but these definitely are the best. I put them over my eyes and could see very clearly out of them. An exellent product.

Wide field of vision. Works with prescription glasses (has special notches on the seal). Looks good too. Anti-fog is a little exaggeration especially when working with respirator (as expected). Overall I think excellent tool.

I have had these for about a month and they are very comfortable and very clear to see out of and I have not had any fogging up problems as of yet.

I'm going to school to earn a degree in Process Technology, and Chemical Engineering. For the degree, I'm required to take several levels of chemisty classes, as well as work in numerous mockup-industrial processing plants. For this reason, I decided to get a pair of goggles that are durable enough to last through all my classes.

Most of the other students have cheap, lame, rubber goggles that rip,(You know, the ones with the round mesh buttons on the side for ventillation, and a cheap/thin elastic strap) and they need to buy a new pair every year. These goggles not only last, but they stand out. My instructors can immediately pick me out of the crowd, which means more of their attention, and when it comes time for grades or letters of recommedations... you get the idea.

They're very affordable for the quality I paid for, and they're very comfortable. There are slits at the top allow ventillation which make life much easier. The straps are easily adjustable for fitting, and - again - they stand out in a crowd. Just looking at them makes people think I'm a professional or something. I'm not. I'm a struggling student in class, just like they are... probably more so.

They look cool. They're high quality. They're durable and versatile. They attract attention. The are very affordable for the benefits you're getting from them. They're highly recommended.

Go ahead. Make a difference. What do you have to lose?

well I guess I'll start by saying that my trade is roofing since 2003. I use the safety goggles when doing dry-rot repairs the particles fly all over the place and so I bought the dewalt safety goggles. I have to tell you if you worry about looks they are kind of big for a small face like mine; however, this goggles are good for what they are intended they protect my eyes very well. I don't care what othes think I love them because they protect my eyes and peripheral area of them as well. the order arrived quickly and the transaction went smoothly. Thanks and hope this review will be helful to you all.

I sweat a lot, I have a large head. It's life. Unfortunately these goggles don't play nice with either of these issues. Despite the soft rubber gasket around the outside of these goggles they dig into my face around the edge of my eye sockets. Plus the fog up quite quick with strenuous activity. Obviously your experience may vary depending on the size and shape of your head and face, but if you've got a larger head you might want to steer clear of these goggles.

It does a good job at covering my eyes without getting in the way of my work. Well made. Fast shipment.

I purchased these glasses for my Auto Mechanics classes because there are safety glasses required. I also use them when using power tools and they've never let me down. They hug my face quite well, leaving little if no space for stray particles to enter my eyes. They have good all around protection and are Rated for high impact. (ANSI Z87.1+). They have been through some bad times and prove to be pretty scratch resistant. The only flaw that I may point out is that due to my facial structure I will usually get a small foggy spot near the top of the lenses on both left and right. But that's just me... Overall this is a product that I would highly recommend to any one looking for stylish, strong, and effective safety glasses.... ^_^

It is very comfortable protector. The price is great. The only thing that I don't like is that it doesn't fit over my glasses.

Somewhat stylish, but maintaining the Dewalt yellow brand these protective lenses do what they are intend for. They are plastic and will scratch if not kept well, so I recommend keeping the plastic box that they are shipped in for storage

Although they don't appear bent, they sit wonky or askew on my head. And no it's not my ears. Also bought the tinted equivalent and they were fine.

these where the perfect base for a costume prop.
I cant rate there function as welding goggles as I didnt use them for that. But as a steam/cyber punk costume/fasion peace they are exsalent.

These goggles are very durable and adjustable - a good deal for the 10+- bucks.
For those who are unaware, there are two lenses per eye: a pretty green glass one with a clear plastic one on top. Unfortunately, one of the plastic lenses arrived scratched, but it's something I can live with. The lenses are easily removed because the plastic ring in the very front unscrews. For some reason, the image used gives this ring a sort of "octogonal" look...which isn't the case with the actual goggles. They are very round, which is what I was hoping for.

The goggles are a bit larger than I would have expected, but I'm guessing this is normal for welding purposes. The plastic also digs into the skin around my nose a bit, and they aren't so comfortable resting on my forehead, so I'm going to add some thin rubber padding.
I plan on using these for a costume/welding, so I really can't complain much due to the great price.

These goggles are just begging to be customized with a fresh coat of paint, watch gears, and a new pair of lenses.
Have fun!

These goggles work great for a pair of steampunk goggles. Now granted I spray painted them and glued some additional parts on it but the shape still lends itself very nicely to being modded for steampunk.

Here are two pics of the goggles after I got done with them :)

These are the highest quality goggles I have ever bought for such a good price.

I have really sensitive eyes, and I've been looking for some extra dark sunglasses. I saw the movie Riddick with Vin Diesel and thought the goggles he wore in the movie would work very well. These aren't quite it. While the dark lenses are great, you do get a bit of tunnel vision. The lenses are too big and the eye cup too deep. I wanted them for driving and the lenses are great for filtering the sun, though I do prefer polarized in some ways and did switch back to my sunglasses. I love the green lens color, so much better than brown or grey. When I wear them my friend says I look like Monty Burns piloting an "automocar". They're uncomfortable after fifteen minutes, they're very hot, and I just can't get the fit right. I'm going to look for a smaller pair. Why doesn't someone make a double dark sunglass for those of us with sensitive eyes?!!?

Inexpensive, reasonably looking for social setting. Not as durable as I would like. Without a strong case I broke a lense when they were in my cargo shorts pocket. But, at this price I had purchased two pair. The second pair I now keep in a crush resistant case.

I love this item . Great , secure sun , safty glasses and with the optical insert , I can see samall things while I am out and about with them . Considering buying more pairs . Seller was quick and efficiant . Rate the product and the seller 5 stars .

I have been using these glasses for over a month now and have found them to be very adequate for my needs. I purchased 3 pairs and have them located in different places so that I always have access to a pair. I have had no problems with the bifocal area being either too small or too large. I like the glasses. I have found them to be very comfortable to wear, they stay up on my nose and I really like the wrap around feature of the lens. I have good protection for my eyes and the sun's glare is non-existent with the wrap around feature. I use these glasses for both driving and work. I believe these glasses to be an excellent value.

I had to superglue the nose piece on after a too vigorous cleaning! But I love them. I am using them on bike rides. I also have a clear pair, so I ran some superglue on it's nose piece as a preventive measure.(it was starting to pull loose one on side)

If you wear glasses or contacts or have to rely on reading glasses, there is nothing as frustrating as reading outdoors. These sunglasses were just what I needed on a recent beach vacation. I noticed that the bifocal section is an adhesive part and I expected to have problems with that but so far, so good. They are very comfortable to wear and they work great.

Found this one instead that really was a better choice for the gift receiver. I ordered the wrong size and had to exchange. This is first company I have experienced where I had to pay another $5.95 to ship a replacement as well as pay return postage to send one back. It doubled the price of the gift by the time I paid the shipping 3 times. Not sure I'd order like this again unless it was just the Perfect item needed

I love riding on my Polaris. It is the perfect means of transportation from my summer home in Maine to the winter home in Vermont and even back to the estate in Connecticut. This book helps me keep my baby tip-top. With my modifications I have been able to reach speeds in excess of 190 mph. Well maybe not 190 mph per se. Regardless, the babes love it. I've got them drinkin water like it's goin out of style, if you know what I mean.Stephen T. Schmitt, Member, Porsche Club of America
